The mountain
Mộc — 木, meaning wood — is one of the five Marble Mountains that Emperor Minh Mạng named in 1837: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth. Our house takes its name from Mộc Sơn, the mountain of the wood element, and keeps its spirit in every grain of timber.

The house
Dark timber, deep eaves and low lantern light borrow the language of the Hội An trading houses — the tube houses, the assembly halls, the covered bridge — carried an hour north to the mountains.
