The quiet dawn
The hush before the mountain wakes
At the foot of the five Marble Mountains that Emperor Minh Mạng named in 1837 — Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth — there are mornings when the mist has not yet lifted, the water lies still as glass, and the streets have not yet woken. Yên takes its name from that very moment — not a mountain, but the slow breath of the land before dawn. Our house holds that stillness in every courtyard corner, every windowed room.
A national special monument, minutes from the sea.
